There are digital and analog timers. You plug them between the wall socked and the plug of your device.
The smallest interval on an analog timer is 15 minutes. On a digital usually 1 minute.
The digital is slightly more expensive, I payed around 20$ for mine.

Actually the air exchange is the main goal, you only humidify the air as to not dry out the casing.

As you see, I only have it on 5 minutes per hour, so it would be good for a much bigger terrarium than antonius.

Anno, do you have any holes in your antonius to allow co2 to escape when the humidifier is running? Where is the old gas displaced to, and how, when the humidifier is on?

There is a gap in the bottom of the front door, so gas can go out.
