I was getting some nice steady rain for a while and it finally stopped a few days ago. Also we got a nice cold front coming through and it's been feeling like fall (my favorite season). Anyway, last year I found some Chanterelles in my woods and if I remember correctly, these mushrooms I found today are Chanterelles. Anyone care to give me a confirmation on my ID. If these are chanatrelles, everyone will be eating good tonight. There are TONS of these things everywhere in my woods.

Sautee them for about 20-30 minutes in some butter or oil, then add a little salt and herbs if you want. Serve 'em in some veggies, or just plain.

imo cooking for 10 minutes is enough.Nice finds, looks like i need to get out hiking this week, this cold front should help out with fruiting.

I live in Delaware. They just started coming up after the cold front but I haven't seen any more since my picking. It's already too dry out and I haven't seen much of anything since then.

A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion.
