 Rye Grass Seed/Water Ratio

Rye Grass See to Water ratio. What is it by volume? I know that it's 1 part see to 3 parts water by mass, however I do not have a scale at the moment to measure how much 1 cup of mass has. If anyone knows, or by chance has a scale and could roughly determin the mass of a cup of rye grass seed... Any help wold by greatly thanked.

I don't know where you have these figures from, but the water ratio you gave is far to high.
Workman uses 2 part grass seed to 1 part water by volume, Una uses 110 grams grass seed and 180 grams water.
Every grass seed is different, so keep notes and modify the water content to fit your needs. The substrate once pressure cooked should be visibly wet and difficult to shake.
1 cup of the grass seed I use weighs 80 gram.

I got tha ratio from this site. MMGG Mexicana version, under growing other specie, under advanced cultivation methods.

Wow, thank you for pointing that out, this is bad information, moved to Questionable techniques.
I will compile a mexicana guide one of these days.
