Does anybody here farm their own Opium. I love this drug and hunt around my neighbourhood every so often in summer and come across many different types of poppy, There`s papaver orientale which has been proven to be low on opium content but high yielding in thebaine. Nobody else does it except me. It`s worth the trip.

and you wouldn't have to steal people's plants. If I saw you cutting my poppies I'd run after you with a steak knife.

Well if you only harvest the pods from a poppy plant then it will grow more flowers to replace the missing seed pods. I personally have snipped lots of poppy pods from peoples gardens only to drive by a week later and see their plants loaded with way more flowers. I think most people that have opium poppies growing in the front yards have no clue what they are and just grow them as flowers

They take about 3 months from sowing. uce teh popy seeds you buy from the grocery or buy seeds cheap online whit persians are the best. You cant transpalnt them, weak roots. Mix in composted manure and hay into your bed and water daily 4-6" plant spacing. You get ~one g of o per 4 sq ft.
