Need some advice: Organic herb gardening

I am thinking of starting a herb garden indoors but wanting to use organic grow methods. Anyone ever grown herbs before or have some advice as to what kind of soiul would be best ?

Thinking of growing: Basil, Oregano, Tyhme, Mint and other aromatics, as well as ordamental herbs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Guano Bat and sea bird dooo doo. Lime. blood meal. fish meal. chealates whis is crab shell. seaweed. tones of compost and manure. Add some of each and mix it into your top soil and you will have a lush forest of herbs.

finer soil works best for herbs (e.g. stay away from stuff with wood chunks and shit)
