My girlfriend gave me an ipod last week, and its been my constant companion since then. Today I skated around school between classes with 10 gigs of my favorite music resonating in my ears, God damn, such euphoria  Each song changes the whole world, makes things look like a movie, really fun. When the aquabats came on, I was in a happy fun land, when roger waters played, I saw sad misguided materialistic people wandering around. Music is fucking powerful  I love it!

Apple's mp3 player (but its much better than any mp3 player out there)....
just wait until you get the car/radio adapter.... then you can have all your ipod music in your car!!!

I got my 10 gig ipod off ebay for like $280. I have over 1000 songs on it with over 5 gigs free space left. Amazing

i wanna get one and just put phish concerts/dead concerts/etc. good music like that, it's so much better then carrying around a cd player with a shitload of cd's...that's a pain in the ass. It would be so nice to have one with a bunch of different shows in your palm....*sigh*

iPods are fantastic gizmos. Did you know you can use it as Firewire drive as well? A friend of mine has his system and essential diagnostic stuff backed up on his iPod just in case his internal hard drive kacks on him one day... he can boot from the iPod instead.
Yeah, they're pricier than the other MP3 players out there, but they're so superior to the rest of the pack it's not even funny. The sound quality from the earbuds is insane -- I have no idea how the hell they manage to get that kind of bass response out of those little suckers. It seems to violate the laws of physics. And navigating the menus is so intuitive and easy it's just sick. Sheer brilliance of interface design.
Apple is an amazing company for sure, and the iPod is perhaps the greatest product they've ever come out with -- and that's saying a lot. Your girlfriend sounds like a keeper to me.

I used to have the 20 gig one but after a year it suddenly broke on me, I took it back to shop and they handed me the new 30 gig model no questions asked! Touch my bad self!
It's so smooth.

I just got a 15 gig like a week ago, and it is the best thing ever... I filled it up in like 2 days, but its ok because i have some amazing shows on there and a ton of really good albums... i just wish i had a 40 gig

how much do the cost? I didn't even know there were different space amounts on them...how much is a 40 gig?
