 post icons changing?

I noticed that the icon chosen by the original poster always changes to the default book icon when someone replies unless they choose a icon from the list. I thought the icon first picked would stay until it is changed manually by a reply post or am I mistaken?
For this post I picked the '?', now whomever replies to this will (likely) not pick a new one but it will change to the open book icon in their reply.

Every post has its own icon that is set by the respective poster.

I always use the book I'm not really crazy about the icons, though sometimes i use different ones. Lets see if ti changes. It didn't change with Anno's lightbulb.

Maybe the poster went back and edited the post and changed icon?

The "Open Book" is the default icon. many people just leave it set at the default when making a post. I, however, always try and choose an icon which reflects my mood, or the mood of my post, or expresses something, even if it's irony...

Yeah I just thought the original posters icon selection would remain until another was actually selected by another poster. Sorry if I was not clear earlier.
