I smoke for fun, enlightenment, relaxation, inspiration, creativity, enhancement, socialization, to get back to my self, for centering, for expansion. Marijuana can be everything to me. I love it with all my heart.

Did anyone actually thorougly research marijuana before they first tried it, was it just an in-the-moment, be cool type of thing or what?
I have NO problem at all with marijuana, I think it's great, but based off of what I've read and the experiences of just about everyone I know (it's not like anyone DOESN'T smoke, hahaha), marijuana didn't sound like it would improve my life enough in the long run to be worth it right now.
On the other hand, once I start getting arthritis, I'll be smoking my ASS off.

Not that we needed all that for the trip... but once you get locked into a serious drug collection... the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

Marijuana seems to me like the craziest drug we have. When a group of people try other drugs they all have basically the same experience, with different levels of control or tolerance over it.
Everyone reacts differently to pot. I have seen a person completely freak out after smoking it. Some people have to have it to get through the day.
Either way its an amazing plant that we should not take for granted. It probably has more uses than most of us will know about.

Aluminum foil is very pure- in fact it is 99.9% pure, with the .1% being various residues from the manufacturing process that are burned off at low temperature and other impurities found within the material.
Humans contact aluminum from various sources throughout their everyday routines. Common uses for aluminum are: food (naturally occurring) & food additives, antacids & other pharmaceuticals, cooking utensils, soil, drinking water, air, and electronics.
Aluminum has a shiny and a dull side- there is no difference to the two sides, this is caused by the manufacturing of aluminum. The sheets are too thin to cut one at a time, so they cut two pieces at a time, causing a shiny and dull side.
Average human intake of aluminum is around 3grams (a little higher inCanada because the drinking water is treated with higher concentrations of aluminum).
Aluminum, at temperatures below melting point, does not give off gas or vapor.
What Is Alzheimer’s Disease?
Alzheimer’s Disease is a progressive disease that affects the brain- causing mental deterioration, disorientation, depression, memory lapses.
When studies have been perform on patients with Alzheimer’s Disease scientist have found that patients have high concentration (10-30 times the normal) of Aluminum in their systems.
Studies were conducted in order to find out if people who drink water with high concentrations of aluminum had a higher risk at developing Alzheimer’s Disease. These studies did show there was an increased risk- HOWEVER, studies have been done where individuals drank water without being treated with aluminum and found the same risk of developing Alzheimer’s.
These two test indicate that there may be genetic reasons why some individuals develop Alzheimer’s.
Studies performed on patients have not found a common factor in the development of Alzheimer’s Disease
Scientist do not know if Alzheimer’s Disease causes higher concentrations of aluminum, or if it is caused by high concentrations of aluminum.
Smoking Using Aluminum Foil
Most brands of aluminum foil (Renoyld’s Wrap with the anti-stick coating and similar brands being the exception), are untreated and remain 99.9% aluminum (again with the .1% being residues and other agents in the manufacturing process)
In order to inhale aluminum it would have to be changed from a solid to a vapor. This requires a lot of heat. More heat than what it produced by a butane lighter. A butane lighter is not even capable of melting aluminum, if a lighter fails to melt the aluminum, it will not be able to change the aluminum into a vapor.
Conclusion
I put this together so individuals can make an educated decision on if they want to use aluminum foil for smoking marijuana. There have been some threads around and 50% of people say it’s alright and 50% say don’t do it.
This is meant to shed some knowledge on how much is known about the relationship between the intake of aluminum and the development of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Thanks for posting this. I have a hookah, and I use foil over the bowl, not a screen. A lot of other hookah smokers do the same thing, as do many lounges. I have always been told that it is safe, but never why. +rep for settling this for me.:D

I don't smoke pot at all during my semesters (It makes me really lazy), but I smoke a fair amount of the summer/ holidays.

Funny how things change. I used to only smoke pot about once or twice every other month. Now that I'm at a college where people have fun and I feel secure(ie: not having to worry about parents busting you), I smoke about 1-5 times a week. The cool thing is that it has absolutely no effect on my productivity. One of my favorite things to do it smoke then study for biology or organic chem. The only thing I don't like about it is having to pay for bud 
Now, pot = good times.

lol this thread is old as shit... i just voted though... every day at least 3 times some days as many 50 times i'm sure. It's almost like smoking a cigarette for me i roll a joint to mow the lawn, i roll a joint to take the dog to the park, i roll a joint to go with my mate in the morning, and i roll a joint to put me to sleep. Don't forget i do a bongload or two everytime i log in here (a lot). i like it, i have a good time on it and am far less irratable when stoned. Its great for my backpain and headaches too.
