Cool, thanks for bringing the test to attention. when i searched for one a few months ago, i only found a one-dimensional one which was inadequate for obvious reasons. my results were:
economic: -7.12 social: -4.82
and by the way, there was a statement that said "the most important thing for a child to learn is to accept discipline". did that mean discipline i.e. hard-work or discipline i.e. punishment? i assumed the latter?

Good test! I don't know why some complained about the questions. Maybe they've always liked to think they were one way, but the test shows they might be another?

No, I'm not really back just yet. :-)
I got a few e-mails saying there are some new political cartoons (since that discussion is still tagged as a "favorite"), so I checked those out, and looked at the last few posts. I'll probably make a return in another month or two. See you guy then!

I have found myself far more liberal then almost everyone I encounter. Here, I'm not far from average. Not surprising but still quite interesting.

No, it's because many are badly phrased. For example, I found at least two where none of the available choices accurately reflected my position, but it won't score you unless you answer all the questions, so I just flipped a coin.

Economic Left/Right: -1.50 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.33
-------------------- The above is an extract from my fictional novel, "The random postings of Edame".
In the beginning was the word. And man could not handle the word, and the hearing of the word, and he asked God to take away his ears so that he might live in peace without having to hear words which might upset his equinamity or corrupt the unblemished purity of his conscience.
And God, hearing this desperate plea from His creation, wrinkled His mighty brow for a moment and then leaned down toward man, beckoning that he should come close so as to hear all that was about to be revealed to him.
"Fuck you," He whispered, and frowned upon the pathetic supplicant before retreating to His heavens.

i just took it again. it's been a while:
Economic Left/Right: 4.38
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.87
most of those questions have nothing to do with politics.
