if say one has a syringe with spore solution in it without a needle already attached what is the proper procedure for attaching a needle? I ask this because I think i royally contaminated a whole syringe because when i was trying to insert the end of the syringe into the pink tip. I think i broke it because i can't get any water to come out of the needle.

Screw it in.

If it was anything like my syringe, there was a blue cap on the syringe. then you were suposed to take the needle out of the packaging and screw it in. You probably didn't mess up your syringe.

no matter how hard i turn, water comes out above the pink tip.
l_________ l_________8DD)(where pink tip goes) 1 pink tip(hollow)-> O)---------
l_________ l_________8*DD))------- l *designates where the water comes out. no water comes out the needle and there's no leak in the actual connection itself. are the needles defective?

If you think you contamed the needle clean it in alcohol. If you didn't suck anything up your syringe should be ok.
hmmm ... if you can remove the needle you can easily see if it is blocked.
Is that pink thing a syring cap?
other than that I can't say!

you have to take the blue tip off before you put the needle on the syringe
