Hiya...I agree with both of you. A whole new entry on the main page for each new trip report is a little bit of overkill. Three alternatives for when a new report is posted:
1) No update on the main page.
2) No update on the main page, but the report is added to a "10 Most Recently Submitted Trip Reports" list on the Trip Reports page.
3) All the trip reports posted in a day are consolidated into one entry on the main page. Instead of:
April 20, 1998
A new level X trip report called "Report" was added to the Trip Reports page.
A new level X trip report called "Report2" was added to the Trip Reports page.
It would read:
April 20, 1998
A level X trip report, "Report" and a Level X trip report, "Report2", were added to the Trip Reports page.
Which do you guys like better? I like 3, myself, but it would also be the most difficult to impliment (1 would be easiest, obviously, followed by 2 and then 3)...
