DAY 4 Update
Golden Teachers have yet to show signs of any development.
But, the South American has shown some positive signs.
However, 1 of the South American is on isolation.
Next update, Day 8

Day 8 Update with images
The South Americans are doing very well, growing at the same speed
only 7/10 of the Golden Teachers are slow off the start , but maybe I will see some explosive growth in the next few days.
The single South American jar that has the black spots, i'm leaning towards just dirt and is not contaminated yet, fingers crossed. Condensation is visible in the image, is it something I should look into?
Question - i see some condensation inside some of the SA jars where the growth patches are. Should I be looking into moving them to a different location for a different ambient temperature? I am aware that the jars become warm to touch when there is more growth.
Next Update - Day 12. now for some with my MFLB
I have 40 more jars to prep, time to look for 4 other strains, any one with any recomendation? I will probably be looking into a monotub after my 1st sgfc with this batch

Day 12/13 Updates with pictures.
The South American jars are coming along nicely,
seeing some very lovely ropey mycelium all around and half the jars have growth at the bottom too
The Golden Teachers are moved to the top rack in my closet, they are slow... I hope they will be ready by the time the South American jars have fruited and harvested.
Next update should be Day 16, hopefully, all the South American jars will be in the final stages of consolidation.

noted on the tilting but I didn't have dry verm layer
Figured that the synthetic filter disc will keep contams out.

Figured that the synthetic filter disc will keep contams out.
Tilting will still allow uncolonized substrate to get into contact with the filter and get it wet. This allows mold spores to germinate in the filter disk and possibly get into your grow.
Always look at the bottom while holding the jar upright.

Hey Shroomery, this is Day 18 update of my South American and Golden Teachers strains.
The SA's are coming along very nicely, ~1 week away from fruiting, will be preparing my SGFC this week
Upon closer inspection, i see these
there are also a couple more jars with pins, but those 2 jars are the most obvious
but when i looked at the bottom of those 2 jars
Now to go back to the Golden Teachers, mycelium is still growing, but slow still

I'm on day 7 with my GT brf pf-tek jars. They have about the same amount of myc growth as yours did on day 8.
I wonder why the GTs are so slow to colonize?

Is it common knowledge that GT takes longer to colonize then other strains or is this coincidence? I've got some I did MS inoc in ~3 days ago and was HOPING to see some sort of growth within the 7-8 day zone...
Patience... Meow

My GT's preformed WAY slower than my other strains (pink buffalo and Ban Phang Kah) But I see them as strategic timing. By the time my first set starts pinning (2 PB and 1 BPK) the GT will be ready to hit fruiting conditions Constant new fruiting over the next month

Well im sure thats very convenient for someone working with multiple strains lol, some of us live in those good ol boy states that are afraid of things that the other 47 states apparently have no issues with. Blah! Perhaps one day I might match your glory >_<
