Should it be soft and bloated, or still kind of hard to split?
He doesnt wanna overcook it, but it turned to slime after only 15 mins of boiling.

Sounds good, just rinse the shit out of it and drain it really well before you load it into the jars.

you don't want it to mushy, you won't be able to shake it .
some like to add about 1 tbsp. of dry vermiculite per jar, shake and pc.

yes i think that also is the most important to cc rinse that starch that will hinder growth half hour simmer rinse the shit out of it then pc
