Pretty safe, as long as you dont say anything really bad, like your address 
Hundreds of people have posted they grow illegal things and I dont think anything bad as happened to any of them

dose any one know or maybe this is more of a ? for a mod dose this site keep ip address and stuff like that? just cause my friend is paranoid cause i posted his set up here i told him nuttin to worrie about but now hes all pissed off

I think the DEA and police, etc. have enough to worry about than a few internet geeks who use drugs.
You can tell they don't read sites like this or blulight because the amount of crap that comes out of these organisations about drugs is unbelievable!

Absolutely not! Dont post your own pictures or questions if you're doing grows. Dont order spores to your growspot. Dont tell anyone you're growing. Post pictures after the grow is done with through someone else.
It probably wont get you busted, but posts are forever. For the rest of the shroomery's existance will be this proof that you cultivate for anyone who wanted to look. You dont have to look out for cops, bt for mean people at the shroomery too! You'd be surprised how many people's answer to a conflict with you is "just give the cops an annonymous tip"

Official Response: As in all aspects of life, just exercise some caution and a little common sense! 
You can't run a server without IPs, but server logs continuously get dumped to make room for more info, and they aren't available without a court order. If you're really worried about IPs, then visit our Technology forum and learn how anonymous proxies work! 
Many, many, people have posted here for years without problems, and the very, very, few people who have had problems usually do something in the "real world" that alerts attention to themselves...
You're pretty safe, if you just exercise some caution and common sense!?

Have a court order for logs ever been presented to the shroomery? If that ever happened would the shroomery make that public and post the log so people with their ip in it could take the proper precautions? Or maybe not the log but the begining and ending timestamp?

No, and I highly doubt it would happen... And I'm not sure if it would technically be a "court order" or a "search warrant" and even what the difference is...
Let's just say, as a member and a poster, it's not high on my list of concerns in life -- I've got much bigger stone fish to worry about in other glass kettle houses. If this is really a truly concern for anyone, and it is keeping them up nights; making them jump at every twig that goes snap in the dark; has them wondering about that scraping sound outside the window; and is causing them heart palpitations, then they should visit our "Security Forum" or "Technology Forum" or whatever we call it now, and find out about anonymous proxy services, or maybe even just do a search on Yahoo or something...
