I recently found this nice stump full of reishis:
Does anybody have any other Ganoderma species descriptions besides G. lucidum, G. applanatum & G. tsugae?

Hmm....It lacks the stalk of G. lucidum....
Ganoderma applanatum perhaps?

I transfered it to agar and it started to grow out afer just few days. It seems a good strain since it grew in the high summer heat.
I was asking for other species because of the lack of stalk. However last year I found in the same area also classic forms of reishi that grew from wood that was buried in soil.
I think it's not G. applanatum, but are there other similar species?
