you kno how growing shrooms has the easy everyone can understand pf-tek?
is there an equivilent tek for growing marijuana? i went to overgrow and i am completely confused about weed...i smoke it everyday yet it seems really difficult to grow

u have to love ur marijuana plant... and it want a lot of time ( i know about 3 months indoor) and money for seeds & chemical product to increase the results

It's soooo easy to grow, just pop some seeds into some good dirt, give water and light, maybe a little 10-15-10 fert, it'll be fine.

yea man, i have my first plant going right now, just get a few flouro tubes and a compact or two, and start a few plants, then get a HID later on, for better results when flowering, but its not necessary by any means.

yeah, you have to realise most of the people there are trying to get max product in shortest time in best quality
Put the seeds in some dirt, give them light, water, food and love, you'll get some plants. Just be sure to check for male/females and seperate them out for better quality, and get some fluorescents with a good spectrum, don't need super high lighting.

which is exactly why he came here and asked for some simple advice. Overgrow contains so much information, it can be hard for the new grower to find what he needs. Its not like the shroomery where you can find easy guides in the FAQ.. but as for the question: everyone answering is right, just plant them and they will grow.. most of the grow stuff on overgrow is how to improve the quality of the plants, but all you really need is dirt water and light.

its changed over the years and is called that plus on the front it say "the inddor bible" and has a bud and a hps lamp on the front
That book is fucking GREAT!, I already knew how to grow fine Cannabis but to have pics of deseises and treatments and how to tell what the plant needs when it starts to look like shit, it really is the inddor bible, worth every penny

Read it all the way thru, not just the parts you want, but all of it.
read the FAQ's at overgrow.com
You will find that there are several ways to grow MJ. Pick one and get good at it.
You might be able to start with flouro's but if you want large buds you will have to get an HID lamp.
MJ growing is easy as long as you follow a few guidelines.
Now get some seeds and plant them, this will take a while...3 to 4 months from seed to finish. Learn as you go.
Visit OG often and talk with other growers that are just learning too.
There are good helpful people there to guide you along.

i really dont think here is a pf tek per say for weed. you have many styles of grows. ( i.e. inside, outside, sea of grean, screen of green etc etc ) but the requirements basicly stay the same.
1) lights
A. flourescents
B. HID ( halide, high pressure sodium )
C. natural sunlight.
2) nutrients
A. organics soils ammendments ( i.e. bat guano, ground eggshell, worm castings, etc)
B. organic liquid ferts
C. liquid ferts ( non-organic)
3) grow mediums
A. soil
B. hydro
a. bubbler
b. ebb and flow
c. drip
4) temps ( try to keep them from 75 to 80 degrees for max growth)
5) airflow.
in order to help cool the grow area and / or avoid mold, there must be a good airflow with fresh air being substituted for the hot spent air. this is EXTREMELY important if your a closet grower, or growing in a "box"
those are things that must be decided on before your first grow. these are for every method of growing.
the rest is all determined by your preferences, and or space. or budget. HID lights are semi-expensive, so a LOT of ppl are going completely with flourescents and compact flourescent now for vegatation AND flowering )
and i agree i have been spending a lot of time at overgrow, and the ppl there are very nice and helpful. you can read the posts and faqs for months before ever really needing to post, actually, you could prolly learn all needed to know without EVER posting. there is not as many different teks for growing weed as there is for shrooms, so once you get the basics down, your pretty much set.

of course the more light the more final product, but MANY are getting astounding yields with simply flo's and compact flo's. now they even have the environelite, which is a compact flo, with a high wattage and lumens output. so you CAN get great smoke from using flo's. plus they emit a lot less heat .
its actually very interesting seeing what others are doing with flo's. it has become such a hit, that overgrow has even gave them there own board.
