 Going to commit suicide. Will Potassium Cyanide work?

Hi,
I am definitely going to commit suicide. I have 500g of Potassium Cyanide. Will it work? I read on another old post that it didn't work for someone but I read on the internet that it will work. I just really want to know if it will work. I don't want to go through the pain of the substances working in your body but not dying. Can anyone offer any help?

100 mg should be lethal. You have enough to kill 5000 people. Mix a gram or two in some pudding and enjoy it as your last meal. You'll suffer a lot less and pass faster if you do this on an empty stomach.
If you're not terminally ill what is your motive for suicide? Perhaps you should take a few weeks or months to really think it over. It's not exactly a choice you can undo. If you're terminal or have incurable suffering, please forgive my nosiness. Best wishes whatever you choose.

definately think it over hard before you make this choice ive wanted to commit suicide in the past a few times but after a few experiences i got over that and im so glad to be alive you need to see the positive in all the things in life. live your life and when the time comes you will pass over to the other side

yo man, start a new life, elsewhere, new people, new faces, nothing wrong with being alone. create your own journey. venture forth, you have been givin this chance to live and others have had it taken from them without a say. its a shame to waste the opportunity given to you because others just dont have it and trust me, life is worse for others.

just realize that committing suicide IS ABNORMAL, IT IS irrational thinking, and it DOES effect everyone else around you.
rational thinking would allow you to see a way out of the shithole that your in, just remember we all get hurt, like everyone else you must wait in that line, but how you survive is what makes you who you are.
I remember my ex from back in 5th grade who i was back and forth with throughout middle school. i didnt have any contact with her throughout highschool and i know she had a rough life, and her life had gotten even more rough and i didnt reach out because i wasn't in a position to as i wasnt in her life. oh man i wish i was. and in my senior year she committed suicide, i hadnt talk to her for over 5 years, but the impact it had on me was tremendous, i think about her almost every week, sometimes a couple times a week i think about how i wish i was there for her and could help her change her mind, i dont even vividly remember me and her being there, just barely, but although its not evident she meant ALOT TO ME.

Give it at least a few months and try antidepressants if you haven't yet. They can make a world of difference. I take celexa everyday and it helps with my nervousness besides making me more cheerful in general. It's not a stigma at all anymore. I get the feeling you're not terminally ill or in permanent pain but I don't know. I'm guessing. You might feel better to get it all out in this thread or by pm. You're suffering terribly and it can help relieve the pain just to be able to share it with someone. Hope you feel better.

I agree with most ppl in this post not too. I think you are asking for help, and i think that was a better choice. besides, wouldnt you rather jump out of a plane with no parachute or ride on top of a train or somthing way cooler if your gona go out anyways. I would try and fix watever is going wrong first, you can kill yourself at anytime so if that doesnt work you will still have a chance later. If its over a girl- get a new one, job -take some time off (itl be easy if you got fired), family- get away and vacation for a lil even if its in the woods camping or in your backyard. Friends- Find new ones. Money - Shit grows on trees (and in bins). overall there are options. Lifes not easy, but u should give it another shot. -SS

i would sit here and try to reverse your thought, but ive said all i can and you've probably read the above comments which correlates to you.

if its that bad it prob cant get any worse. id Tough it out. You can hit the lotto, meet some girl,find a cool job, or if all else fails if ur lucky maybe ull jst get hit by a bus. the last march my gf's mom found her son hanging by the beam in his closet. it was over a girl, and although im glad hes at peace id punch him right in his face for what he did to his family. his sister is a mess, mom looks like a zombie, and the dad seems like nothing ever happened which is the worse out of all 3. that is all i guess..good luck

it's shock, if people survive it it makes them stronger. one of my friends killed himself when he was 19, his 21 year old sister was heartbroken but it ended up making her more determined to do something with her life. she now works for warner bros. records and makes 150k a year.
we can't blame people for acting the way they feel they need to. if someone close to you commits suicide, it sucks, but if a person blames someone else for making them feel like ****, it's because they don't have the capacity to get stronger from it. that's the way life works, we work pretty hard to put ourselves above the laws of nature but it seeps in anyway.

Hello everyone. I empathize with those having suicidal thoughts. I lived with the desire to do it for over 10 years (and daily vivid visualizations of doing it for a couple on an off, held the needle to my arm, etc). The only thing that stopped me was the fear that things would get much worse if I did it (heard this many times).
I think I understand why SOME of us do it, fantasize about it, etc. It is summed up here...

It's worth reading. Please read it. If that link is censored, google: outofstress stop obsessive thoughts. The author San has many brilliant postings after the article in answer to all the people who are being driven mad by their mind.
Although I still have the thoughts--among other automatic negative thoughts, I'm starting to observe them. Sometimes the mind goes on auto pilot with heated emtions, but the second I start observing, it stops, the replay, or feedback loop stops.
The brain is trained to think of things we put energy into, the thoughts (good or bad) are fueled by this. Then, of course, there is diet, sleep, exercise, which affect things. And yes, I know there are the circumstances, past pain & trauma that is not diffused of emotional charge, etc.
This does not apply to the terminally ill.

Plz can someone just advice if 1g KCN (Cyanide) ingestion will end life in say 2-3 minutes empty stomach. I have read online somewhere that this may be painful as well. Plz give genuine inputs (mine is health related query). I dont want buy another pain as I am already in a lotza pain.
