I was able to render that using Rodilius, a filter from the plugin G'MIC for GIMP. It's a free version of the more popular Fractalius for Photoshop.
I actually just started using it and thought Sal's pic would be a fun one to mess with.

Done late last year, taken with a camera but this is one of my favorites. Did white charcoal on black paper. I know it's not really trippy, but art is art, right!?

Tidying up my room and came across a whole load of old tapes that are sitting doing nothing. That combined with the fact the I hate the direct downward glare of the 3 spotlights that light it at the moment inspired me to make this. The base is an old double tape box which lets me angle the lamp. The light fitting itself I ripped out of an old desk lamp that was sitting doing nothing and then I fitted it into a used and crushed can of Irn-bru to hold it in place.
I love the fact it gives out an inconsistent light and not just a solid glare. You can see the circles from the spools of tape on the wall...I have got it sat in the corner with a couple of mirrors on 2 sides so it now functions as an uplighter that is powerful enough to light the whole room.
