Belated update. 
So, my cakes gave a good and satisfactory first flush considering it was my first time and I am quite grateful for the fruits of my labor...
I can't tell you what my total dry weight would have been, as I never had them sitting around for too long after picking, but if I had to guess based on my recorded fresh weights, I'd say about an ounce. My total wet weight was about 318 grams. ...Is that math accurate?
Anyway, my first flush was done, so I redunked and got ready for my second flush...
ONE cake managed to give up a few fruits.
Then I found this... Trichoderma, is it?...
Within about 10 minutes of spotting this (I examined it and gazed at the awesomeness of it for awhile  ), I grabbed a plastic bag and chucked it in there, and threw the bag outside. I was devastated...
This was another cake, 24 hours later. I immediately threw it out.
Needless to say, besides the one that gave me about 20 grams (fresh), the rest completely stalled.
I tried to hold out a bit more, because I didn't see any visible contamination on the other cakes. But a few days later I thought I'd play it safe and just toss the whole lot. I'm hoping my grow area hasn't been contaminated... 
I think towards the end of my first flush, I was a little too confident and a little too careless about cleanliness and upkeep. So that was my bad. But with my cakes in the trash, I didn't give up all hope. I quickly looked into outdoor growing and went running back to my trashcan for Grow 1.B.... but I'll save that story for another thread. Stay tuned!
Anyway, I have learned so many things about mushroom growth and though I failed at a second flush, I am even MORE encouraged to continue with my new hobby and improve in everything I did wrong, for the fruits of my labor are well worth it. I am in love. 
I had a great experience using PF Tek and do not regret choosing it as my entry way to mycology. I know many people argue just to jump to bulk methods for your first time (with lots of reading of course), but I believe this path was right for me. HOWEVER...
With my newfound love, I'm ready to go for Grow #2. And I'm going with WBS in a monotub. I've done my reading, my smoking, and studying... and I'm currently in the process of shopping... Just got my Presto 23 quart PC in the mail today (holy smokes, this thing is huge!) and I am SUPER thrilled! No smiley nor emoticon can express my level of excitement!!....
My only real fear now is whether or not the prints I took are clean... gah.

you could allways crumble case or spawn to bulk if they're stalling, IME cakes kind of suck(as far as getting as much of a yeild as i want 2-3 oz dry[between different grows ofcourse]), so i'd definitely go with crumble/case or spawning to bulk
