Publish as an E-book in pdf form and then the buyer can print it in any quality he or she would like,ie.Photo quality (if they use photo quality paper or magazine grade then the grow logs could be more accurately detailed and followed from colonization,to pinning,to harvest)
Also tryto make it the most in depth online guide you can make. But you would have to collect photos from every stage in the growth cycle but perhaps with a little board member help it could be done fairly cost efficient. I would also suggest maybe to throw in some medicinal species as well.

This thread may have lost some of it's original focus, so here's my two cents. The shroomery is all about online content. I think the more content we can get on the site the better, and having some historical texts on here would be great. It could also give members of the community another place to contribute their knowledge in the form of writing and research that might not fit well in the FAQ's.
As much as I would like to see a book get published, I'm not sure it is within the scope of the site unless it was used as a promotional piece to spread awareness of the shroomery beyond the web. Otherwise I personally feel that it is more trouble than it is worth. If the powers that be decided that a marketing tool like that is a good idea, I would be the first to raise my hand and do a "Ooh, ooh, ME!" on the design (I've done a few books and scientific illustrations). I just don't us to bite off more than we can chew.
