I quit playing skyrim months ago because I made the decision to buy a gaming pc. I just sold my ps3 and games for $200 and am ordering my pc this week I'll be starting up skyrim on there soon.
I'll post the specs when I speak with my brother who is helping build it but it's going to be amazing.
I've been playing a lot of this game ARMA 2 if anyones heard of it lately, amazing game.

A little something for those of you still playing...
-------------------- Men are born for games. Nothing else. Every child knows that play is nobler than work. He knows too that the worth or merit of a game is not inherent in the game itself but rather in the value of that which is put at hazard. Games of chance require a wager to have meaning at all. Games of sport involve the skill and strength of the opponents and the humiliation of defeat and the pride of victory are in themselves sufficient stake because they inhere in the worth of the principals and define them. But trial of chance or trial of worth all games aspire to the condition of war for here that which is wagered swallows up game, player, all. - The Judge

I think it's $20. I don't think I'll be picking it up unless it drops in price or I see multiple reviews saying its as good as or better than Shivering Isles.

Ah, I missed that the first time I watched the video. Finally mounted attacks
Looks like one of those gates on the border will be opened up, so some extra land mass will be added, "though it will have a 'ghastly, ethereal visual style'".

So what are some essential mods you PC players are using? Pretty much playing vanilla and I am actually downloading/installing a few right now. I kind of got that itch to play again after a few months off but wanted to start with a bit more goodies installed. I am kind of avoiding the high res and PC crippling mods. My rig isn't that good.
The ones I was using where, Enhanced Blood Faster Arrows
Just downloaded and installed Build Your Own Home Hey cool I can build my own house. Sounds of Skyrim - The Dungeons Creepy sounds of the tortured, sounds good to me. Sounds of Skyrim - The Wilds More wilderness sounds... wahoo! Birds of Skyrim What the hell, the world needs more birds. A Quality World Map Eh, it's got roads SkyUI Yeah.... a must.
I might install Midas Magic - Spells in Skyrim Not to sure yet, could be buggy still. Skyrim HD - 2K Textures I will probably regret that decision though. It looks like there is a lite version, so maybe... Easy to unistall, I guess I will try it when i have the time to kill my slow internet connection for a few hours.
Wish I could find a favorite menu like there was in Oblivion, that little wheel thingy that popped up with pictures and shit.
Anyways, what are you folks using that makes your dragon killing funner, or just more immersive?

My comp isn't even good enough to run vanilla skyrim. I wish it was. I woulda modded the shit out of it like I did for morrowind (which is still hands down the best of the series)

Dammit, that sucks. Morrowind will always be my favorite. Had the funnest playing that one. Of course, when I did I had no idea what I was doing. I completley passed up the Blades guy at the beggining and ended up being the head to every damn guild there was until I thought, "how the fuck do I beat this game?"
Then it hit me, that dude at the beginning, I must talk to him. I think I need to download Morrowind again. I let someone borrow the game and all the disks(2 expansions) ended up getting trashed. Small children are evil.
Good times.

Good times.
And now that they have the morrowind overhaul mod that combine like several dozen different graphics mods and gameplay patches into one big package, the rebuilt towns mods that make everything more realistic for the cities background, AND the tamriel rebuilt mods that have tripled the size of the map with just the first 2 out of 6 releases...yeah. Good luck tearing yourself away from it.

Dammit... Okay that will be a must get. Wonder if I will still pick spear for my main weapon and hit up the coast just north from where you start and pick up the deadric spear. Boots of blinding speed is damn near essential though, maybe not.. but it helped when running like a bitch was involved.

To be honest I always altered my speed stat through magic abuse or console commands. Otherwise it took FOREVER to get ANYWHERE. Especially now that they map is 2-4 times the original size...Though nothing beats BoBS for sheer hilarity. EXCEPT for maybe those scrolls that made boost acrobatics by like 5000.
Though for beginning weaponry I always just wandered on over to balmora and stole that Sword of White Woe that theyve got hidden in the guard tower.

Boots of blinding speed are defenetly a must, along with with Curass of saviors hide to counter the blind spell. From there it's Amulet of shadows, rob the vaults. Then go to the mudcrab and you're in buisness.

Lost me there, I just used a strong 1 second lasting potion to counter the blinding boots. If I remember right it didn't always work, not a 100% but after a couple of tries is did. Hell, it's been about a decade since I have played that.

Running? Forget that, make a spell that lets you jump across the map then levitate at last moment
