I wasn't necessarily a strong advocate that he do his presentation on DMT, but my main point was that it wouldn't be a big deal if he did.
Some people here acted like it would lead to a government-wide crackdown on MHRB or something (which is kind of happening already anyways).

I wouldn't do my presentation on DMT based on the principle of not trying to raise the collective awareness of the courts to this substance.
of course they know it exists, and it seems (to me) like it has been raising in popularity in recent years.
that being said, I want to keep it as available as possible and that includes not talking about it.
as you said, not a big deal. but it's not something I would advertise.

...or made up an imaginary drug and did it on that

i think ibogaine would be more beneficial to other classmates because it is a drug used to stop addiction
i wouldn't necessarily go for a drug of choice, that sounds like a real trick. choosing a real drug of choice, that you did not get busted with is just a bad idea and will just put a label on you that you don't need. try to look as straight edge as possible, after all they actually expect you to become that way from taking the class.
