Contamination?
brownish color
rubbed a clean cloth on it and a little brown color rubbed off.
would you throw this away? if not what would ya do?

Your flash is like right on the brown spot, so you should try aiming a little to the right or left or bottom or above the cake, so the flash doesn't hit the target directly for a better color. It doesn't really LOOK contaminated, but it could very well be and there's no such thing as being too cautious when it comes to your cakes.
