Late Contamination

Hi. This is my first grow and I have lost most of the jars to contamination. I now know that next time I will need to take even more precautions. However I still have a few that are looking good. A couple are over 95% colonized, so I hope this first grow will not be entirely fruitless.
I am writing to ask about this one container that seems to have only shown contamination at a rather late stage. Here is a picture:

From reading up I have learned that even small visible contamination on the outside often means it has been growing a while on the inside. I have also read many "if in doubt, throw it out", and that's exactly what I did with all previous containers showing contamination. However I would like to ask, is there anything that can be salvaged from something like this that is almost fully colonized? I have shown the only visible contamination, the rest is white mycelium, all the way round the outside (at least 90% colonized i would say). I am fully prepared to just throw this out but it seems a shame to get so far with this one, and thought I should ask just in case.
Thanks.
EDIT - this grey stuff showed up about 3 days ago (which was 20 days after inoculation).

That's completely contaminated, even the 'white' parts. Toss. RR

Oh dear. Its been tossed now, thanks.
Just so I know what to look for, how can you tell even the white parts are contaminated?

Because the mold mycelium is white. Even if you could separate the two you wouldn't be able to tell which parts were mold. The best you could hope for would be to toss it outside somewhere and see if anything grows but that's pretty heavily contaminated so I wouldn't expect anything.
