Its not completely understand, because DMT is not completely found in the human brain in active levels. I doubt the ancient Egyptians believed in DMT.

You are tracing something that hasnt been found in effective levels to an organ, the pineal gland, where it in fact has been found NOT to occur by Dr Strassman himself who then discredited his own findings and vaped another one.

There is absolutely no scientific evidence of DMT actually being produced in our brain, this was an hypothesis formulated by Strassman who later admitted there was no basis for it. And because many cultures from ancient Egypt believed it doesn't make it true, you know many cultures (basically everyone) before the 15th century didn't believe the earth was round ? Therefore it must be true

Actually, there is a basis for it: enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of DMT are abundant in the pineal gland.

That said, there's no way to conclusively prove DMT comes from the pineal gland, as we don't have intrinsic signal imaging technology that can analyze the brain that deep down. But there is very suggestive evidence.
