Some of you guys do seem to be missing the point. The point isn't even that porn and masturbation can lead to ED, in my opinion. The point is that porn can and DOES change the way a person feels about sex. How can you deny that?
Personally, I have no trouble at all getting it up for my girlfriend, even after years of watching hardcore porn daily. A boner is only a touch away for me. But recently I've stopped watching porn and masturbating, and I've found that I enjoy actual sex significantly more than I did before I quit. I used to have all sorts of trouble coming, too. It used to take forever.
So, get real people. There's simply no denying that a constant diet of porn can change a mans sex life.

I agree, porn is fucking awesome and my sex life would be much worse without it.
I don't really care what goes on between you and your gf unless you care to present it to me in a more porn-like format.

No, use the ignore function if you cannot handle my use of common sense in place of internet-endorsed fancy language.

you do not seem to serve any purpose in here instead of mocking. why are you posting here if you do not have any problems?
retarded trolling, and it's only coming across as immature.

Who am I mocking? I think the whole idea of porn-induced ED is questionable as a medical diagnosis. There are two opposing viewpoints in this thread, you are the ones who keep calling me unhealthy.

Obvious troll is obvious. Nobody is calling you unhealthy. <mod edit: no flaming please. Keep the debate polite.>

I'm not a troll. My penis goes limp after I masturbate to porn frequently, no shit. I freely admit that I am a ridiculous penis but so are you for making this thread. Sorry you bought into a bunch of wordy BS.

I'm not saying I dont believe this, but what if you imagine the same things as you watch in porn, then what is the effect?
I dont see just switching to your imagineation as doing anything to rewire you brain towards real women.
The negative effects seem to come from two things: 1) the very high rate of novelty in porn (i.e. the ability to indulge in like 20 different women/clips in one session) and 2) the tendency among some guys to go on to more and more extreme porn once normal porn doesn't stimulate the way it once did.
Masturbating to your imagination is not going to supply the same rate of novelty as high-speed internet porn, so they won't inspire you to get more extreme with your fantasies. You're not going to keep jumping from fantasy to fantasy the way many porn users jump from clip to clip. So it's a lot less likely that masturbation to your imagination will have the same effect. It could though.
Most of the guys who have noticed problems say that switching back to imagination after an extended porn habit doesn't change much, but a period of abstinence from masturbation altogether does. For an explanation of why that is, check this.

I consider this a good thing, safe and healthy. We are experiencing a great time for lovers of porn, look on the bright side

Ok, some people don't like extreme because it makes their "real life" seem tame and ordinary, and that will lead to disinterest and apathy when it comes to "normal" things. I could say the same thing about video games and big-budget hollywood movies, but they are a more socially accepted form of fantasy so that would seem ridiculous, wouldn't it?
I'm really not trying to give anyone here a hard time, but porn is healthy and normal. Fantasy needs input from reality, reality needs the escape of fantasy. I don't think people should try and tune this cycle to the needs of others, and I don't think it is the business of doctors to be placing judgements on my sexual habits. This is a discussion board and I am just giving my honest opinion because I don't like to see people misled.

Very good point, actually.
