Chinese Herbs

Well garden folks, you've never let me down before, so I'm here again with another question.
I just got back from chinatown, and bought a bunch of random stuff to try, though I have no idea what some of it is.
There are five ingredients listed on the back of this package, and I can't seem to find much with wiki or google.
They are:
RADIX ET CAULIS ILICIS ASPRELLAE 22500mg
RAMULUS ET RADIX SOLANI TORVI 15000mg
RAMULUS SYZYGII 15000mg
RAMULUS SEU RADIX CLERODENDRI 15000mg
RAMULUS ET RADIX SOLANI CAPSICOIDIS 7500mg
Sorry for the caps, but it just makes it easier to distinguish the capital i's from the lower case l's and whatnot. Just want to be sure there's no breakdown in communication.
At first I thought I just picked up a random giant 1$ bag of looseleaf tea that would make 30 cups of tea, but apparently you're supposed to use the whole thing, so I'm guessing it's going to be much more active than a cup of green tea or something.
The Korean guy told me it could be used to keep the body cool in the hot summer (so I immediately jumped at the chance since Florida is hot as fuck), and also to improve general health. Probably just nothing, but maybe I found something cool, so I'd like to know. Anyone have any real genus/species info on these things? I can probably do the rest from there.
I also wonder if he even knew what it was, because he was Korean, and it was a Korean health food store, but aside from the names I just gave you, everything on the bag is written in Chinese.
Thanks guys

Well there's always a first time.
RADIX means root as far as I know.
RAMULUS means small twig, branch
RAMULUS ET RADIX SOLANI CAPSICOIDIS from what I've quickly googled appears to be the root and stems of Wild Belladonna.>link
RAMULUS ET RADIX SOLANI TORVI could be the mushroom Passalora sola-torvi
I'm a little pressed for time so that's all I can muster for tonight. Here's a link you may find useful>>link

I assume this is a species of Clerodendrum. The only appearance in my TCM book is Clerodendrum bungei, also known as Mexican Hydrangea or Rose Glorybower.
This is used in TCM for malignant lung cancer.

Those bags, you boil the whole thing in like 8 cups of water, then reduce it to one cup. Those teas are awesome and really do help IME. I like the ones for cleansing and relaxing, very nice body feel.

Thanks for the help guys. Guess this is harder than I thought it would be. But knowing the definition of ramulus and radix does make my life easier in figuring this out.
Sucks that they need to use such archaic names and stuff on the bag.
I was really trying to make sure I didn't have any interactions with other medication, since it's a whole lot of herbs, and definitely in quantities that I assume could be much more active than a normal tea. But maybe I'll just wing it when the temperature goes up, and see what happens.

Yep, it looks that way. The directions are very poorly translated, and ambiguous, but it does say to boil the whole bag in five "bowls" of water, and reduce to one "bowl" before drinking. But it never mentions when to strain the herbs out of the liquid. The herbs are probably about a cup and a half of material on their own, boiling down to one cup would be impossible without removing them first. So what, I boil the bag in the water for just a few minutes, and then remove and reduce, or do I remove them half way, like when I have 3 cups left or something? Oh well, I'll figure it out, but if you've done it before, maybe you can help.

Are the ingredients also written in Chinese? If you took a pic of that I might be able to look them up easier.

This talk of chinese herbs re kindles a thought i had when i first got debilitatingly sick and anxious. And that thought was that a plathera of herbs may help my muscle constrictions, neasuea and deppresion/anxiety. I know this is a a bit off topic but i was wondering if the ethnobotanical community here on the shroomery can reccommend herbs/herb supplements or just something natural that can help with my overall health

I can do you one better:
岗梅、金钮扣 、蒲桃 、臭屎茉莉 、野颠茄
I think the very first kanji is off, but I'm not sure.
But I think I found the second one to be Acmella oleracea (solani torvi)
And Ramulus Syzygii seems to be Syzygium jambos
I think Karode already has Solani capsicoidi pinned as Atropa belladonna
Edit:
I can't seem to match them up, but another website lists them as 30% scaly holly root, 20% clerodendron philippinum schauer, 20% syzygium jambos, 20% spilanthes acmella and 10% atropa belladonna

I just boiled it til it looked like it was about a cup of liquid, then strain it and boil a little longer. The taste is definitely different but I liked the effect.
@Seriously: go by one of those Asian markets and ask if they have a tea for anxiety. I'd also recommend kava, or valerian root. There's lots of good stuff out there for anxiety. The depression should be dealt with by therapy of some sort. Either talk it out with friends or people you trust, or in the physical and mental health forum. However, st johns wort helps with depression.
