Ive always noticed that the hardcore hallucinating trip is always great to have, but recently Ive noticed that i can enjoy a smooth, relaxed trip with some good music just a bit more than losing my sanity and running through the woods naked (still fun tho). of course what i grew up thinking was the "meaning" of the mushroom was to make you see dead relatives and float into space, and while that is an awesome experience, Ive been researching the ancient meditative rituals that took place with the mushroom long ago, and have experimented with combining the more mellow trip and music.
now my personal favorite thing to do is lay back and play Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon and listen to it all the way through and float off into infinity. pink floyd is the most mesmerizing music there is if you ask me. and honestly i cant even describe the best experience I've had but it was something along the lines of a river entering the room and engulfing my world in unspeakable floating lyrics.
but id like to know what other peoples favorite tunes to fly to are, maybe ill find a new favorite who knows.

its something about the flow when they go instrumental on most of the songs. alot of times i find my fingers moving to the rhythm really slowly lol.
thats my favorite band by far, but as far as tripping goes some T00l's more melodic "soft" songs can be a wild ride too. kinda dramatic too, but in a good way

I've always hated country music with a passion. Well, one day I was tripping hard at a friend's house and he turned the television to the country music station. I have never laughed so hard in my life, but it made me incredibly happy. Clothes were shed, tears fell, and I writhed and bounced around the room joyfully dancing and listening to the most pathetic fucking country music you can ever imagine. It was awesome.

Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?: One of the few times I've actually had true hallucinations. That damn flute!
Tool - Lateralus: Some rather profound lyrics that fit the beshroomed state perfect.
