OP as much as you want to be involved, this is something you cannot be involved in.
Trust me. It will drive you crazy. I am speaking from experience.
If your mom is going to divorce your dad, then they'll have to hire a lawyer to hash out the agreement if they can't come to terms by themselves. It's a sticky situation and it isn't fun for either party...and I know that it's like watching a car full of kids go careening off a cliff...but you can't do anything about it.
This is not your relationship. Although if I were you I would talk to my dad. Tell him basically what you've told us (if you haven't already) about how your mom is a shiesty bitch, even now. Be serious, tell him how you feel. Do the same with your mom. That's all you can do my man.
Everything will work out for the best in the end. Even if its an extremely messy divorce and the family is completely broken, it is for the best. Eventually things will piece themselves back together. Not in the same way as before, but it will be better.
