Joe Rogan
    #15737665 - 01/30/12 01:24 PM (1 year, 4 months ago)

Joe Rogan, I'm sure most of us know that he is a DMT Advocate, and you might know that he hosts Fear Factor.

I think he's a badass dude.
I've been watching a lot of fear factor lately since I found it was revived. I've noticed that in a lot of episodes Joe looks tripped out, or does small actions that only a fellow tripper would recognize.

I think it's also cool that he made it 'big', people who are part of the entertainment industry, are actually pretty powerful figures in the USA so it's awesome that he is on the psychedelic team, and public about it. I feel like he could educate the public about psychedelics in an Honest way, the beauty of it and the life lessons you can take with you.

So, What are your opinions on the guy?

I think he is kind of a moron honestly.  lol

But thats not really fair since I dont really know anything about him.  I saw some youtube video with him talking and trying to blow my mind with basic philosophy - maybe that is not indicative though.

yeah i'm on the fence about it. I really like his stance on weed, but I don't know that he really grasps the psychedelic experience. He likes it, but it seems like he's in awe about it. Which is great, but i'd rather see a public figure representing psychs that is also very educated on the topic.

He is always stoned on Fear Factor.

I find him funny and ocasionally watch/listen to his podcasts. Just like anyone else rambling on stoned out of mind you have can't take everything as fact.

I love it on fear factor when he starts making fun of people for being dumb or douchy.

Seems like a cool guy and his stand up is pretty funny.

Speaking of Fear Factor and NBC... oh fuck it looks like they did pull the episode.
Tonight we where supposed to be able to watch some fools drink donkey semen and piss.

Looks like NBC decided to pull it at the last minute. :kingcrankey:

I think he's a pretty cool guy, he's how I first heard about DMT and I was like "woah I'd like to try that some day". I really like his commentary on fear factor when the contestants are doing stunts lol
I'd wanna go on fear factor cuz I think I'd win that shit. I'll plow whatever nasty things may be on the second stunt. But, that post with the donkey semen and piss kinda threw me off alittle...I'd wanna eat bugs covered in blood and stuff like that. Drinking animal cum would would suck. No pun intended.

I had never heard that he was an advocate of any drug until now. I used to watch Fear Factor occasionally but nothing about the show made me want to learn any more about the host. Hadn't realized he was on that sitcom NewsRadio either, might give that a watch because Dave Foley is hilarious.

I don't like his tv persona, but his pod cast and stand ups are interesting/funny and he seems like an intelligent fellow.

Well he was is was in the documentary "DMT: The Spirit Molecule".

News radio was great, not really as funny for me to watch these days, maybe because I watched em all when they aired then later reruns. Dave Foley, Phil Hartman, and Andy Dick, :lmafo: now that is a cast.

I really like Joe Rogan. His standup is very funny and he has a lot of really cool ideas. I would hang out with him for sure, he seems really genuine.

I was not aware of that movie but I think I read some of the book by the same name a while back, will have to DL that one too. I never watched NewsRadio much when it was on air so it should be pretty fresh for me. Was just re-watching the Kids in the Hall mini series "Death comes to town" recently, very funny stuff.

I think he really threw off the vibe for DMT:The Spirit Molecule.

Other than that though, it seems like he has some neat ideas and thinks about things. I really believe that thinking about things is dying out in today's society, so I support anyone that takes some time to think.

I was gonna say that..

He seems like a bit of a silly tool to me.. this is the same guy that presents MMA and stuff, yeah?

To me, anyone who revels in the act of men beating each other nearly to death for money, may have missed the point of pyschs..

Saying that, I watch UFC sometimes, just not sure I'd promote it.
