Hello all,
We are attempting to start a quarterly print publication on the botany, cultivation, history, and usage of medicinal and entheogenic plants. We are crowd-funding the operation through Kickstarter and need some help doing it. If you arent familiar with kickstarter, it is a website where you submit projects that you need funding for. People pledge different amounts to try and help you meet your goal. No one pays anything unless the funding goal is met ($5k in this case) and it wont be charged until the end of the project (Feb 16th). Those pledging to the project will receive rewards, like copies of the magazine, a 'thank you' in the magazine, t-shirt, ad space, ...

We intend to have at least 28 pages and print at least 1000 copies. The money raised will go towards funding the cost of production, printing, and shipping of the first issue. For the first issue, we will feature an article on brewing herbal beers. It will be a primer on herbal beers as well as a recipe for a kratom brew. We also intend to have articles on using psilocybin mushrooms in the treatment of cluster headaches, information and photographs of different Banisteriopsis species, the sustainable harvest of root bark from Acacia and related species, as well as a contribution from Keeper Trout.

As you can see we have an article about the use of psilocybin in the treatment of cluster headaches as well as other articles that many of you may find interesting.

seriously raising 100 dollars in like a month might be possible but 5k, something smells fishy here.

they have this thing called the internet, it's rendered those ancient things called magazines void. Besides all a magazine is going to do is put them on coffee tables for parents to read and write there congressmen about. The whole "entheogenic" name brings plants that have "herbal remedys" into question, what your doing does nothing but harm the plant world. Plus this is obviously about a pay check.

Thought some of you would be interested in the magazine. I still enjoy reading print magazines and i figure there are others too. We will also feature full color photographs of medicinal and entheogenic plants.
Everyone doesnt receive a tshirt, you pledge more for better rewards. The five thousand dollars will go towards:
Printing: $2000 - 1000 copies, 28 pages, full color
Content: $1000 - articles and editing cost
Shipping/packing and other miscellaneous: $2000
- $1500 for postage ($1.50 x 1000)
- $500 for supplies (envelopes, tape, ink, and other miscellaneous)
We have already raised almost $1000 and we hope to reach the goal.

FYI this is a project started by a long time member of the entheogen focused online communities. It's not a scam or an advertisement; it's a call for funding using kickstarter.
I'd love to see this come to fruition personally.

Hello everyone and thanks for the support. We are now have 25% of our funding goal with 2 weeks left. We have added a few more rewards and a few more article details.
We have also made a sample of the digital version of the magazine, to give a idea of what the magazine will look like. The article titles and images used will most likely not be the final one used in the first issue and are just there to give an idea of the layout.

We are down to our last week to raise the rest of the funds. The first issue is going to be packed with content and we have already started lining up articles for the second issue. We need to reach our funding goal to make this happen. If we dont reach our goal, we dont get any money. And then the magazine will probably not happen. So please help spread the word to anyone who might be interested.
We are working on two possible t-shirt designs right now and hope to have them ready in a few days. We will be throwing in an additional, signed by selected authors and the editor, copy of the first issue of the magazine for anyone who pledges more than $35. Anyone pledging more than $100 will receive a Dragibus t-shirt along with their other rewards.
