I detoxed from my opiate habit with no withdrawals
    #15641264 - 01/09/12 07:20 PM (1 year, 4 months ago)

I had a 240mg/day oxy habit and kicked it with no withdrawals but plenty of discipline.

how did I do it?  first suboxone. I started with 8mg/day of suboxone.  then quickly tapered down to 2mg. this stuff is powerful and you dont really need a lot to stop the withdrawals. Remember suboxone isnt to get high off of, its to stop the pain, and if your sniffing them your not ready to do this so don't even bother readong this.
once you get down to 2mg/day your gonna need to get the dosage lower. you take half a suboxone (4mg) and put it in a syringe then add 8cc of water to it. now you know that 1cc=0.5mg  you take 1 cc a day for a couple weeks. then when you feel ready you take 1cc every other day, you'll be fine.  then after another week take 0.25mg every other day. you do this for a week or two. at this point you have your tolerance down to a minimum. stop the suboxone. delete all your drug dealers phone numbers. buy some immodium.  take 10mg of immodium a day, this stuff is non addictive but it is an opiate that doesn't pass the blood brain barrier, you wont get high but it will stop the minor withdrawals and keep you from shitting your pants.  Take the immodium for a few days, try to shit first so you dont get constipated.  after just a few days of this you'll be scott free.  make sure you find something to keep your mind busy, go for walks everyday or exercise, I know its easier said than done.
This method might not work for everyone but it's not a method I invented, its a method I have used after years researching and finding the best method.
for more supplements you can take google "the Thomas recipe".
For people with more serious addiction you might want to get your hands on a benzo to help with the transition to suboxone but remember a benzo is addictive and you can die if you take it with opiates in your system still so you gotta be careful with benzos.
Aslo you might need a sleep aid, I like melatonin because its safe, over the counter and it works well.
Remember that you need to be serious about this , it takes time and dedication but you can do it.

anyone else try this method or another method that worked for them?

Thank you!  I know I am not really "scott free" because theres nothing that can stop the mental cravings and the dreams but I am serious about this.
even though I did this without the withdrawals it doesn't mean it was easy. It was extremely difficult and took a long time but it can be done.

I know, and that is why I have a lot of respect for you.
For some odd reason, when I hear stories like these, I feel happy that people actually care about themselvs and ones around them.
I am not an opiate user and don't plan to be, but I lost a good friend to opiates.
Never touch that shit again man, new life, new beginning. :-)

I hope you can help others get out of these addictions man.

Props man, my first thought was "must be ibogaine". Sounds like you toughed it out.

Tapering off is the best method for quitting addictive drugs, IMO. I quit a pack and a half a day habit two years ago and never had a craving either.

wow I cant believe I never heard of ibogaine. seems too good to be true.

Mad props, OP. Mad props.

And hell yes on the deleting your dealers numbers strategy. I also used this method. Shit was hard to do, but might have saved me from ending up homeless.

How do you deal with the daily cravings?  I'm at my wit's end here and I have to fucking stop but I never make it.

Worst of all is I know there's going to be lots of oxys available on Tuesday, I just spent 2 weeks worth of my drug budget in a one night binge and I can't afford to go buying them..  Especially if I can stay clean all weekend.

my methos didnt work , I just got hooked on immondium. Now I gotta start over again, my best advice is to taper town.  skip the immodium unless you really need it. its an opiate

It is an opiate but it only attaches to the receptors in your intestines (except for a very small minority where it does cross the blood-brain barrier).  If you having withdrawal symptoms it's because you took suboxone for 2-3 weeks.  Even tapering to a low dose if you take suboxone for more than say 5-7 days your body gets hooked on it.  Most people don't feel withdrawals from it until 3-5 days after the last dose.  Withdrawals from suboxone can last 3-6 weeks.  So if you're feeling shitty, I'd bet on that being the reason and not immodium.

I've done the quick suboxone taper many times.  There's really no way to get off opiates with no withdrawals.  All you really can do is lessen them.  The part that always got me was the mental shit.  Boredom, no motivation, no energy, trouble sleeping.  I've had those symptoms every single time I got off suboxone.  It's just the way it goes.  Good luck and stay off that shit.  Opiates are a bitch.
