Yeah, it is more suspecting than certainty for me about the fish thing as well as the plants.

maybe for like half an hour but you would probably be eating red meat by the end of the day. i've seen hundreds of cattle killed and the sickest part is how easy it becomes to not give a shit. i used to stare at cattle being killed with their blood spraying in my eyes for 9 hours and after i would be craving a nice juicy steak some people are different i guess but thats cool. it is kinda fucked up when the cow behind the one that just dies looks up at you knowing full well whats coming next. at the place i used to work they wouldn't let you be the one who kills them for more than a day per week. for obvious reasons.
besides chicken farms are a lot worse. even after working in the position i just described i was still horrified at what i saw. i tried to work at one but after about an hour i couldn't take it anymore and i left. it was like being in a concentration camp for chickens. and here i was thinking that a chicken farm meant a place where chickens run through the meadows like the cows i used to work with until that fateful day at the slaughter house. boy was i wrong
i draw the line at eating an animal that never got to see the sun. the most fucked up part was how the chickens didn't even fight back. they would just look at me in this retarded way as i thew them in a bin and off to the kill floor. at least with a cow they might buck and kick or do something to show you that they loved life. anyway as you've probably gathered from this everyone has to draw their line in the sand somewhere, some are just shorter than others.

how did you kill the cattle?
we used an air gun that you press against their head which shot a bolt into their skull. then they were bled and the rest of the process was on it's way. you have to be really close to the animal which is scary at first but you get you'd to it.
were they hanging by one leg on a conveyor, or were you on a smaller farm where you walked up to it and slit it's throat?
they were hung up after they were killed. one of the funniest things i've ever seen is about 20 cows with their lips cut off hanging upside down with their tongues pocking out they looked like they were smiling
i've worked at two meat processing plants in Australia. no small farms. the last place i worked doing this job had two people stunning the beasts. we did thousands in a day. that wasn't my primary job though. i worked in meat plants for a few years and did all sorts of jobs. some of the pranks you can do out there were pretty funny. like get a tongue and lick someones face with it. my mate actually grabbed a dead fetus and pretended to do cpr on it in front of this new guy screaming at him to call an ambulance. he didn't come back the next day
you got over it within a half an hour?
i got over it pretty quick but i meant that tekix would probably get over it just as quick as i did.
just pointing out the way you put it out there, like you got into it.
the craziest thing is how boring it actually gets. hence the pranks.
why are you hanging out in the spirituality forum?
thats a funny question to ask imo. there's lots of people who eat meat on the s&m forum. at least i know where it comes from and am not afraid to speak about the stark realities of life. this is where food comes from. we shouldn't have to feel spiritual guilt about it. it's kinda crazy how disconnected we've become. i'm not particularly religious in any sense but i still dig the way others view reality and places like this allow me to express myself.
because the vast majority couldn't let alone wouldn't.
i think you'll find the vast majority could and would if they had to and the ones that eat meat and are afraid to kill a beast are the true spiritually vacuous among us.
did you witness it or did you do it?
both.
they walked up to it and the dude was actually petting it when he cut it's throat
i really respect that kind of attitude.
did you do the shit they did in the documentary? like ripping it's esophagus out while it was still alive? gutting it while it was still conscious?
nah man but i knew some guys who were pretty liberal with the cattle prods while they were transporting them. unfortunately meat processing plants aren't as respectful as you friend was when killing a beast. where was that doco filmed? like i said the really fucked up shit happens in transport, especially overseas transport.

Well, you've had an orgasm right? Yet it is un-lasting and only last for a few seconds. There is something very similar along the spiritual path that I have found, although the energy isn't released all at once, it slowly course through your entire being.
I call it celestial chi. It comes from the crown, yet not the crown of your skull or the adornment of a king.

do you ever blow your load while meditating?
and they heavily pollute the ground, aquifers/water tables and the air through emissions...
not in Australia they don't. we've got swamps out the back of our meat plants that break down all the nasty shit and emissions aren't really that big of a deal when compared to other industries.
between the hormone used which is pretty much identical to the human hormone and the antibiotics which are the driver behind resistance to other antibiotics it was no brainer for me.
i thought they only used hormones in chickens? i never knew they give cattle anti-biotics.

by what you've written in your sig i'm assuming your a vegan. would you eat meat if it were under the right circumstances? eg. the cow died of natural causes and was untainted by modern farming practices.
