Out Grow Review
    #15620883 - 01/05/12 05:51 PM (1 year, 4 months ago)

Received multiple 5 lb bags of manure, manure + straw, coir compost from the fellows at Out Grow. I tested multiple types of mushrooms: PE ALBINO, GOLDEN TEACHER, CAMBODIA strains. All fruited with multiple flushes 3+ without soaking. I've purchased from Zoo Doo, High Mountain Compost, and Sublicious Compost. My experience with Mike at Out Grow is by far the best. My yields were the highest and largest ever. I will be purchasing more shortly. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

im definitely very happy with the rye berry and grainspawn bags bags!
however i was wondering about spawning to the manure based substrate bags and the 50/50 mix considering it needs to be pasteurized and not sterilized. But on the site they both say sterilized. Any clarification on this is much appreciated.

I couldn't tell you. I only get the grain bags, knock them up, then spawn to Damion's 5050 Coir tech. It VERY simple and you can get everything you need at a farm supply store, except co co coir. You may have to go to pet supply store for that.

i know they have 4lb bags. And unless they have an industrial size pc, I don't think they'd be able to cook a 12lb bag. Maybe but it wouldn't be worth cooking one bag at  a time in a pc.

where did you see a 4 lb bag? and are we talking about rye berries and grain spawn?...either way you probably wouldn't want much bigger than a lb unless you were willing to wait a little longer for it to colonize.

I was thinking of Mycopath. They have 4 pounders. Outgrow only has 1lb but I think if you ask for a large order and you want 4lb bags instead, I think they can a rang that. Idk
