floatation tank project

i live in argentina and is virtually impossible to import a floatation tank. if i want to own a FT is mandatory to make one.
how about make a collaborative research and development project?
i have solved the problem of the tank itself, with one of these cheap and well made swimming pools:

http://www.sonne.com.ar/contenido/espaniol/piscinas/tiburoncito/nro3/index.htm
the remaining problems are:
1) the filtration system 2) the heating system
your ideas are welcome!

Over a period of 3-4 years, I have collected an electric 110v/220v hot tub heater, a working pool pump, a small pool filter canister, chrome jets, and an air pump from a plastic bath tub bubbler. All for free. I had to solder a small hole in the heaters tank. Not bad considering all items were being thrown away by different people. One mans trash... I plan to build a personal hot tub as soon as somebody throws away some hose and a big ass container.
Hit up hotels and health clubs for old hot tub heaters. When they spring a leak it's easier for them to just buy a new one then find someone to fix a pinhole. BUT... They often save the leaky ones with the intention of one day having it repaired. Few ever do, If they don't get trashed they'll often give them to anyone that asks. You might have to solder the tank or replace heating elements, which can often be salvaged from junked water heaters..
Now that those semi-permanent pools are more affordable, I've been seeing more and more put out for trash every Spring. Most have damaged liners but the pumps and filters are still in perfect condition.

I've thought of trying to make one myself. Could you find some type of large barrel ?

I saw plans for a one person tub made from a barrel. I think it was in Mother Earth News magazine.
Small enough to drain, rinse, and refill as needed so filtration wasn't needed.
It was heated with an old coffee maker.

With that size of pool you are going to need approximately 3400 lbs of Epsom salt, how will you light trap it?

A good friend of mine is building a vertical, I am super excited.
Will you put it in a light trapped room?

i think could be a very interesting improvement specially for this time in which cell phones are exesivelly common, a FT with electromagnetic isolation, as john lilly said. a faraday cage could be made with a metallic mesh, isn't?

i'm in trouble with the design of the heating system. the usual is put a bed heater under the floor but if i need to replace the heater, i'll have to drain the tank to replace it.
another problem is how difficult is heat 400 kg of magnesium sulfate? samadhi tanks says they use 80 watt but don't sound convincing. the aquarium heaters use 1 watt per liter. i think in use a pair of 300 watt aquarium heaters, and remove them after the desired temperature is reached, avoiding the risk of electric shock, but i don't know how long the temperature is maintained.
suggestions?

You def need to maintain a consistent temp. The ones I work with have aquarium heaters underneath as you said. I suppose you would have to drain it in order to fix it.
If you have time, I can ask the guys who manufacture the ones I use and let you know how they do it.
