 Bong problem

I have a pretty nice mini beaker left coast bong, however when I go to pull out the bowl, the whole downstem comes out with it. To get out the bowl without the stem, you have to put pressure on the stem and pull the bowl out which gets annoying. Anyone know how to remedy this problem? Should I go back to the headshop and address this problem or would some wd-40 do the trick?

have you tried turning the bowl before pulling it out? kinda like a screw top?

get a rubber o-ring for the bowl. it will keep the glass from binding together.

dude I fucking hate those type of bongs thats all they sell in san jose had to go to santa cruz to get a nice glass on glass rubber gromit bong. Only thing i can say is try twisting the downstem to get it stuck, but fuck those bongs i hate em fucked up so many hits.

some shops sell this stuff called joint wax. its a wax that comes like a chap-stick and you rub it on the male end of all the joints except the bowl. when the downstem is all waxy, you twist it into the nipple and it seals real nice, no leaks, but more importantly, it will hold it in the bong for you

It likely sticks because there is resin in the joint. A good cleaning with rubbing alcohol (on both the male and female joint) usually does the trick.

Try Teflon tape on the male ends of the joint. It has save me tons of money on glass ware no stuck joint . Maybe it will help

Is it glass on glass? My old GOG stem piece did that too. I got a different reciever O ring for the female piece and it worked great.

PROTIP: If it's glass on glass, put a light coat of olive oil on the glass part of the bowl that connects to the downstem. Reapply as needed. Works like a charm.
