 The Power of Transcendental Meditation

I know that some people have mixed feelings about meditation, but it is my firm belief that transcendental meditation is greatly beneficial to your mind, soul, and body. Just listening to this music while mediating, I got lost in my own world,and met with peace.

What exactly is transcendental meditation?
I practice a few different kinds of meditation, but know them as void, focal, and other techniques somewhat in between. I've heard the name transcendental meditation thrown around, but I've never been given a clear explanation of the actual mental process it involves.

"The Transcendental Meditation technique is a form of mantra meditation. The mantra is a sound that is thought (but not spoken) during meditation. This acts as a vehicle that allows the individual's attention to travel naturally to a less active, quieter style of mental functioning.The technique is practiced morning and evening for 15–20 minutes each time".
Basically, just thinking about sounds and letting your mind go absolutely free from reality as you get lost in your own little world.

reciting mantras either out loud or my head has never worked for me, but if it works for you, go for it.

Yeah, I used to sit in silence, but I find it more peaceful to go with your own vibes and not hold them back. But, to all his own right? All forms of meditation are peaceful

i came down from a really hard mushroom trip one time listening to a bunch of ravi shankar.
it was beautiful. i find some of his sitar too fast paced and intense for meditation. but others like this one are nice. i hope you meditation continues to benefit you

Yes I agree, some of his stuff is a little too intense sometimes. I just came across this video by his daughter, Anoushka Shankar. This is so chill. Thank you for the kind words too
