noobie grow advice

So I have a mono tub that's about 4' x 2' and about 2' deep

I colonized 8 pounds of rye with b+

I pasteurized wheat straw, cow poo and verm

I then layered them in the mono tub, wheat straw on bottom colonized rye 2nd
and the cow poo/verm mix on top.

Well as a whole its about 90% colonized and wasn't quite ready to case. But when I got home yesterday I had a 1" side pin and about 200 smaller side pins.

So I drilled tons of holes in my tub and filled with poly fill. Then added a small grow light.

I'm not sure if I should be fruiting without a casing.

I'm a bit exited because this is the first fresh children I've ever seen and I want the most out of my tub so any advice would be great. Remember this is my first half successful grow.

Ok I now have a lot of side pins perhaps 20 per inch around the perimeter. This bothers me because some are growing down. How will I ever harvest these?
