Sounds like there needs to be more research done. I'd sign up as guinea pig since I have no idea where to buy the stuff.:prance:

Modafinil - the time-shifting drug
July 5, 2005 - gizmag.com
Now there's another "drug-most-likely-to-succeed" - this one enables you to stay awake for 40+ hours with close to full mental capacity with few side effects.
. The drug has a smoother feel than amphetamines and enables the user to stay awake and alert for 40 hours or more. Once the drug wears off, you just have to catch up on some sleep.

.

It's called "burning the candle at both ends" and NO, you cannot ever make up for the stress it puts on your body.

Actually, long periods of wakefulness, so long as you're not pumping yourself with meth, coke, or cathinone, appear to have little negative effect on the user if they get proper sleep after that time.

The research hasn't been conclusive enough to say who's right or wrong, but I refer to sleep as "paying" it off, because the modern theory on sleep loss is like credit card debt.  If you "miss a payment (sleep," then make time to pay it back.

If the candle is burning at both ends, then at the very least it's disproportional - you can drop the candle at any time before it burns you.  The impulse demons like coke and meth don't manifest in this chemical - when you're done, you're done, and the drug has little say in it.

I was a meth addict, and coke, and yada yada yada, and I've experienced the hell they can bring after replacing sleep with them... but on the same token doesn't lsd keep you up all night?

I have a much harder time falling asleep on shrooms and acid than modafinil - yet with all three my next day is not harder, per se, but surely not strained or destroyed like stimulants can do.

And like I said, if you're able to meditate, I find modafinil to be the best drug in the world at safely and comfortably getting you into that deep state of nirvana, or perhaps a deep state of sleep.

I totally understand the skepticism, as I was right there with you...but after years of taking it I have so much good that's come from it - it's somewhat unbelievable.

It was the only substance that could help me quit alcohol and opiates - which is a hell of a lot to ask of a drug.  On top of that I've done nothing but succeed since starting it.  School became a desirable and 'do-able' puzzle that I cracked, my work performance and pay rate has been on a pretty steep incline, and my doctor is amazed at my health (I was a sick mofo for a while).

All I'm saying is that immediately writing it off is stupid.  It's new, and expensive, so you're not going to get an accurate cross section of it's recreational/spiritual qualities.

I will make two things clear though:

ONE 200MG OR EVEN 400MG WILL NOT KEEP THE AVERAGE PERSON UP EVEN NEAR 40 HOURS

I HAD ADD AND THE DRUG WAS BASICALLY A PERFECT FIT - FOR ME

To achieve the profound spiritual experiences possible with the drug, one must exceed 400mg about three times a day, as it's half life is about 5 - 10 hours, and you'd probably need to take somewhere in the ballpark of 1,000 -1,400mg to reach 40 hours.

At this level you may feel like shit, so it's really not for everyone, and from a legal standpoint I can't recommend a patient exceed the doctor's prescribed dose (though I know I'm not the only one who wanted 5 hits of acid when 1 was fine - if you know what I mean).

Pharmacy Express, under Mod-alert or another Euro name I can't recall.

I legally obtain it from Cephalon, but I hear you don't need a script to obtain it online. *clears throat and coughs*

It's incredibly cheap compared to a script - which is 30 200mg pills for about $700, or 200 200mg pills for about $200.
