Is the Biggest One Ready To Pick? (Pic)

The ones pictured below pinned in the jar and survived the dunk and roll. I have no others pinning yet on my other cakes. I've heard that you need to pick when the veil breaks and this one looks like it has, but none of the other little ones are ready. Should I wait for the others to mature and pick all of them at once?

Golden Teachers. I think it looks odd, because it was dunked and when dunked the cap wasn't out yet. I was reading to try and leave pins on if at all possible and they did survive. There are about 20 pins on this cake now.

dependent on strain/avg size you should harvest that
dont get them so wet spray your perlite and walls more and let your cakes stay misty, not drenchy
likely more fanning would help
you can pick individual fruits
you may have drowned the lil pins those are itty bitty for GT
i think youve just got it too wet in there.(perlite is fine)
this is what my too/two wet setups resulted in (also strain related)

I've got a ceiling fan in the room with the FC. Could I leave that on as well?

I was reading that I should mist and fan four times a day. I will stop that. I guess it's better to learn on one cake and not over wet the other cakes when they start pinning. Thank you for your help!

I've found it's best to mist every other fanning. The FAE is good, but you can get the cakes too moist. I always have a ceiling fan running in the room with my FC, so I don't think it's a big deal. You also look like you have long stems and small caps, which I believe is a problem with not enough FAE.
Taken from the shroom diagnostics page:
Quote:
Un-developed caps on mature stem -- Excessive humidity and lack of FAE
Shrooms feel wet to the touch w/o squeezing -- Too much water. Substrate is sitting in pooled water or on wet perlite

The ceiling fan in that room is always on high. Then again, it's not the most powerful fan in the world.

When the cap "wings out" it is just water being absorbed. So that really wouldn't matter. A good time to pick is as, or after the veil rips. As for the latest time you should pick? The cap would actually be upright and folded. A mushroom being that mature would leave spores in the terrarium.
In conclusion, it would be best to pick whenever you wouldn't mind. As long as they wouldn't get much bigger anyways right?
