It's hard for me to think of a drug i havent done at my parents house.
All the while they were completely oblivious.
Usually stuck to ganja treats and vaping, or smoked on the porch, but back in the day I used to breathe the smoke through one of those dryer sheet tube things and spray stuff everywhere to make it smell better.

I used to put towels under my door and hot box my room, just for the record, it doesn't really work. Good thing i always smoked at night when everyone slept and when my dad wasn't home, or else i would have found out earlier and in a much harder way.

I've tripped with my parents in the house before. It's really not bad at all. It's easy staying quiet on psychedelics, and if they wake up for whatever reason it's not hard to pass off whatever weirdness happens as the usual grogginess that comes with waking up in the middle of the night. If anything, I always felt safest tripping with my parents in the house, because I realized that if something went really wrong, they'd be there for me.
The fact that your dad is an old tripper should really just cement your confidence in tripping at home. There is literally nothing that could go seriously wrong. Even if they "catch you" somehow, for example if they corner you and examine your pupils under a flashlight in the fashion of a policeman, your dad will know what's up and be supportive.

Dude OP I only just read your whole post and they sound tolerant as shit. If they were going to give you shit for drug use they would have done it by now. They caught you smoking and told you not to do it in the house? They caught you sterilizing jars for no apparent reason and didn't bother you? Your dad is an old head? Fucking go for it man. They don't want to tell you that drugs are cool because they're older and more entrenched in the society that says drugs are bad, but they really obviously don't have a problem with it.
My parents are exactly the same way. I always knew my dad used to take a lot of acid but recently I learned he used to be a mad cokehead too. These days I talk to them openly and honestly about my drug use and there is zero judgment. They just tell me to be very careful about security. They're not worried that I'm on drugs, they're worried that I'll be caught by less tolerant people, and previously they were only worried that I would get them caught by stinking up the house. Don't let the intellectual cruelty of our society come between you and your parents.

Dude...I've been living on my own since 16.
There is absolutely no reason you have to live with your parents. If you're big enough to want to ingest substances, you're big enough to move out.
What you shouldn't be doing, is sketchy shit under your parents' roof. I used to do it too and all it does damage. It pushes your family away from you. Don't be doing that.
You sound like a reasonably able and intellectual person. Get your shit together and put yourself into a position where you are able to pay rent, put clothes on your back and a full plate on the table. THEN grow shrooms and get high.
Figure it out bro...

I can relate. I'm 19 and can't afford to live on campus. I don't get high very often though because we're low on money so most of my money goes to helping my mom out.
I got caught for drugs once when I was 17. I wasn't caught high, my mom got into my Facebook and read my messages. I had used duster and my friend had sent me a message saying "Are you walking on sunshine?" She picked up on what it was referring to immediately. She confronted me when I got home from work. Since we have a really close relationship I really felt like dying. I told her if I ever felt like that again, I'd kill myself. Since then, she leaves me alone when it comes to drugs because she knows I'm smart (now, duster was stupid) and that I was serious about what I said.
I don't know what she thinks of my brother. He's younger than me, but he's also a hell of a lot more reckless.

when I lived with my parents I grew mushrooms and made dmt and they never found out about it even though there were some close calls. I would only smoke if they weren't around or were asleep and would do it out on my deck or in the bathroom. they probably suspected me of something cause I also grew oyster mushrooms and had a book on psilocybin mushroom cultivation, but they never asked me about it or anything.

Some people cannot get a lease due to bad credit and/or criminal records. Not to say it isnt their fault they were put into that situation...but the past cant be changed and if they are in an area where they dont know someone well enough to let them pay rent to NOT be on the lease moving back in is much cheaper of an option than paying for the extended stay hotel every week.
