Yeah, I do believe she was a drug addict at some point. I see the children holding the earth as more symbolic of the future. As the children as the heirs of the earth, and that is where the change would need to begin, at the root of the problem.
Nice song btw, too bad it won't embed. I have a friend who has a voice like Johnny Cash, yet he still insists on singing Eminem at karaoke. lol . . .

They have a sort of ominous feel to them imo. Like the calm leading into a storm.

I am very glad I stumbled back into this thread. I love Pink Floyd but somehow their Ummagumma album never came my way. I am now inspired to get my hands on it. This is just my kind of music.
Those two tracks remind me of their epic, Echoes.

Ummagumma is my all time favorite Pink Floyd. It's a double album with a studio side and a live side and not a weak cut on either album. My first Acid trip almost 40 years ago included this album and King Crimsons "In the Court of the Crimson King". Two more powerful tripping albums cannot be found imo.

i remember listening to the white album on repeat during an excessively intense mescaline trip. my one friend who was quite against the beatles prior became a huge fan of this album after. each song catapulted us into the strangest dimensions, it was ridiculous but my memory of it is unfortunately not so great
