 Problem: DMT crystals melted

So last night my Naphtha solution sat in the freezer and I woke up this morning too see nice crystals. I poured the naphtha into a coffee filter and then scrapped the crystals that remained in the jars. I got about 1-2grams of DMT crystal so I let it sit in the fridge to dry for 90 minutes, then took them to my room to further dry next to a fan. I decided that they were almost 70% dry so I moved the crystals from the drying cup to a pill container to further dry.
Now here's where it goes all wrong.... I guess some clumps of the DMT had naphtha still remaining, and before I knew it, everything turned into a oily solution....
I put it back in a cup and sealed it and proceeded to put it back into the freezer....
What happened? What went wrong? Should it be fine if it stays in the freezer?
Feel really shitty about this! Almost perfect to ruined in minutes!!!!!

Next time pour the naptha off and simply leave the container in the open to evaporate for much much much longer. DO NOT immediately scrape and put on a coffee filter because the melting can occur there too. You are correct...there was some trapped naptha and as it heated it began melting all of your crystals. I just got done with my first extraction and had this problem on my third pull where it melted.
To salvage this pull scrape up the goo you have and transfer to a glass container and add a very small amount of some slightly heated naptha and do another freeze precipitation. Should be 15-20mL of naptha per gram of spice. Very small amount.

Here's a trick that'll help. After the freeze precip, pour the naphtha through a coffee filter to catch any free floating crystals, but DO NOT scrape the jar just yet. Place the lid back on the jar and place it upside down, back into the freezer for an hour or so. Do this as quickly as possible to avoid letting the naphtha warm up and start to dissolve the crystals. This will allow any trace amounts of naphtha to drain away from the crystals. After an hour or so, carefully open the still upside down jar over a catch container and let the drained naphtha run out.
After draining all the naphtha, it's still a good idea to leave the jar open and allow the crystals to dry out completely prior to scraping out your goodies.

Same thing happened to me. I let the oil just dry out and it turned into a hard clump. When I smoked that, it hurled me into hyperspace much stronger than the powder. Try it first before you re-dissolve.

Too late, also I thought the oily substance is usually DMT-Oxide

wait did you give it 24hours (or a lot of time) to dry?
the crystals can fall apart during drying which is good in my opinion
you might have jumped the gun
let all the liquid dry completely
dmt doesn't just melt at room temp from my experience

Depending on how long you soaked the naphtha, the oily substance could just as likely be plant fats as n-oxide. I've found this to be a problem with soaking for excessive amounts of time. Seems like the longer the naphtha is exposed to the mimosa soup, the more stuff it pulls in. IME doing 4 two minute rolls with a 2 minute break in between each cycle of gently rolling the naphtha through the solution for a total of 8 minutes of gentle agitation yields cleaner spice. Yes, soaking for 24 hours may increase the amount of stuff you pull out, but when a good percentage of yield disappears after the wash, that's an indication that what you pulled out wasn't pure spice to begin with.

Still, I think your problem was in scraping out the crystals without allowing time for the remaining naphtha to evap.

i love exploring the different effects from the different crystal makeups with other alkaloids
im letting my naphtha soak for a day this next pull
last pull was thick pasty yellow waxy crystals 
A pull a day, keeps the "shit my stash is empty" situation away.
