Are you looking for beach camping or mountain camping (about an hour or so from the city)?

Look up Fry Creek campground. It's in the Cleveland National Forest and it's about a mile from the Palomar observatory. Pretty epic...really beautiful. As far as camping near the beach...not quite sure since I live a block from the beach and I head to the mountains to camp. When do you plan on visiting?
