any single player game that can keep my attention and keep me immersed in the environment has gotta be great!

I hope Skyrim trys to borrow things from Morrowind such as having oriental weapons and spears. Not being able to use a wakizashi or tanto or the like was really weird in Oblivion. Regardless the gameplay looks absolutely amazing, the 3rd person view actually looks decent in this one, gonna be a feelsgoodman game that absolutely steals my soul for months to years.

Bethesda knows what they're doing when it comes to making a great single player game dude. I have very high expectations for skyrim, and this gameplay video just fuels that excitement even more!

I was thinking the same thing. 
Oblivions 3rd person view wasn't all that great... They're using a completely different engine for Skyrim though so I'm sure that has something to do with the improvement.

 I was pumped when I heard it was coming out alone, finally seeing the gameplay makes me want to just throw my money at them now.
Bethesda should just do that too, "Fallout 4, we'll take your money now".

Same here, I think I'm going to pre-order it... Supposedly you get a burlap map if you pre-order it but I could care less about that, I just want the game the day it comes out!

This game is going to be crap when compared to morrowind. Just like oblivion was  but its still going to be one helluva game

I didn't really enjoy Morrowind. It was alright but not anything like Oblivion... I played Morrowind after Oblivion though so that's probably why.

it's harder for me to get really immersed in the world of morrowind (as opposed to oblivion) because of the dated graphics engine, but I appreciate both as great games.

The level scaling in Oblivion ruined the game for me.
If the level scaling in Skyrim is anything similar, it'll do the same.
Supposedly they've toned it down for Skyrim, but I'm skeptical.

Burlap or not, at least you get something neat with it. Better then a pre-order where you don't get shit or just a lame ass in-game weapon.
plus if you're tripping ballz while playing it and think you're actually in Skyrim, you've got a map.

I do see your point with that, but Bethesda themselves have yet to let me down, unlike Double Fine with Brutal Legend. (note: I did like parts of it and the premise, but man the RTS mixed in was just a dumb idea)

Why the fuck would you preorder? It's not like they ever completely sell out every copy of a game in a locale. I was able to find GTA4, Halo Reach, Oblivion, fuck, every major release day 1 within the first 3 places I looked every time. It isn't like they are gonna print too few discs or someshit...
