Anyone else attracted to desolated planes?

I personally always being drawn to remote distant places... such as Russian forest - Tayga - many many secrets hidden within !
Also Australian desert and Canada also quite nice...
Just imagine a deep deep old forest.. with maybe a 10 year old path barely visible thro it, which leads somewhere...
Mysteries and mystical creatures to be found...... such a shame theres nothing like that in UK

You've just described our back yard. It's why I bought this piece of property in the first place. The 100 square miles around us has less than ten people living on it including the wife and I.
We can take week-long backpacking trips right from our front porch and never cross a public road, fence line, power line, nothing.
