 grain bags smell sour?

I already threw them out just wondering were i went wrong..I shot up 3 pounds of grain they all smelt sour today i could smell it trew the filter patch on the bags.I shot them up 9 days ago temps were around 75-78 degrees always some condinsation in the bags every morning Im thinking thats were the contam came from.Any1 now what cuased that sour smell?

wet-spot bacteria. psudomonas sp. Did you do the grain prep., or buy it? It's caused by improper prep.

Most likely bacteria. Your grain was probably too wet. Without pics though....?

i noticed it was greasy feeling and looking a few days ago but i payed no attention to it till today when i smelt them. sorry no pics just imagine greasy sour smelling grain.lol

It's not absolutely caused by bad prep. pseudomonas is an endospore maker, and often times when you get it, it is because you didn't germinate the endospores before sterilization, but it's also in the air all around you. look up the bacteria I'm talking about and you will have learned about a common infection in mush cult.
