Man caught with drugs in court office

SANTA FE, Texas -- A man went to a court office to pay a traffic ticket and ended up being arrested on drug charges.
Santa Fe police said Ryan Wheeler, 30, went to the Santa Fe court office about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.
An officer who was walking into the police department recognized Wheeler because he had arrested him in February on a methamphetamines charge. The officer knew that Wheeler had a suspended driver's license, investigators said.
The officer went to the court office to arrest him on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, detectives said. Officers searched Wheeler and found that he was carrying a syringe, a bag of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia, police said.
Investigators said they searched Wheeler's car and found more drug paraphernalia.
Wheeler was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Based on his criminal history, Wheeler's bond was set at $70,000.

dam...why the hell would you bring drugs on federal ground let alone a court house. they can frisk you at anytime with no reason
