can't find any threads on this. of course its better to toss, but were there an effective remedy, we would'nt have to. has anyone tried using a gas torch applied directly to the colonized substrate to kill, or at least cripple, contaminates? rather than spraying stuff on (which has proved pointless for me in the past) one could flame the affected area. seems like there would be a better chance of destroying spores and myc.

Also, Id think that by the time a contam is visible, there have already been a lot of spores spread onto the myc surface and throughout the substrate anyways.

As well as on yourself, your cloths, and all around your house. Saving contaminated substrates is not worth the risk, tossing it is your best bet.

well, i know you can never make it perfectly healthy again but this would be for the purpose of saving a flush in progress. i was just wondering if it might be more effective than salting.

Put it outside and you can see about getting fruits out there. Dont push your luck inside your house.
