these are great for just a few cakes :-) though they do require more attention. You dont have to fan these out, just work it like a pump, the top is cut off at such a point that you can slide the top that was cut of inside the bottle. pumping it up and down forces are out and back in. Ofcoarse dont forget to mist first.
I didnt have perlite at the time and was also using mini double tubs. i just used damp verm in the bottom which seemed to work pretty well. I was pulling 50g on the first and 2nd flushes.
Also another great method where space is concerned is double tubs
I made several different sizes of this. though now looking back on it, id put the holes higher up so you can have a deeper substrate.
If your going to the effort of using mini dub tubs, might as well spawn them to some bulk, like coir, or hpoo (which these tubs were used for).
Remember your going to need light too. The 1 problem with keepiing things in a closet is poor air circulation
